1st Night - Medley Family Greeting

Email arrived from Neil at 4:38 p.m. (12:38 a.m. Nairobi time). Neil is staying for a few days with Joe & Karin, Esther and Sophia Medley in Nairobi:

After checking bags at the Minneapolis airport, it was an uneventful trip. The 8-hour flight always makes me so groggy by the time I land in Amsterdam. I just had to push through all the checkpoints in that airport and did not even try to connect my computer to check my email.

On the 8-hour Amsterdam to Nairobi flight, I watched three segments of the BBC's series The Repair Shop and thought of you. 😙 I gave a nice stewardess a copy of my tract. There was a group of Irish teens on the plane doing a sightseeing mission trip to Kenya. One of the chaperones said she would not mind attending the mass in the slum on Sunday. lol [Ruth note: the slum is not safe for visitors.]

Esther was holding her hand-printed poster with "Welcome" written in twenty different languages she had looked up for me. Sophia's hand-printed "Welcome Back" poster was complete with a Kenyan flag.

The internet here at Joe's is speedy enough to allow me to use Skype.

Ok, I am going to get some sleep. I am sleeping in the office and have absolutely no idea of the time. Tomorrow I will figure out how to text you.

Hugs and kisses,
Neil
